Foot pedal settings getting corrupted

Known bug in version 2.0.4 (fixed in version 2.0.5)

There is a bug in version 2.0.4 only that adversely affects foot pedal settings. Earlier or later versions are not affected by this bug.

A typical problem: You’ve set up your foot pedal, everything seems to be working fine. You quit InqScribe for the day, return later, start InqScribe, and all of a sudden your footpedal is no longer working. So you run the foot pedal setup wizard again, and things seem to work...for a while, but soon it’s corrupted again. You do this a few more times and the foot pedals stop working altogether.

To fix this problem, download the latest version of InqScribe. (For version 2.0.4, a workaround is posted in this blog entry: http://www.inqscribe.com/news/entry_249.php)

All other versions

If you are using a different version of InqScribe and are having trouble with your foot pedal settings, we recommend resetting your snippets and shortcuts to the default setting. Note: this will erase all of your existing shortcuts and snippets, so be sure to jot them down before you proceed.

  • In the Edit menu, select ‘Edit Snippets...’ (or ‘Edit Shortcuts...’)
  • At the bottom of the window, choose ‘Reset to Defaults’
  • Exit InqScribe and relaunch.
