If you're using Windows XP and having trouble starting InqScribe, you can use DebugView to get some more information about what's happening.

Here's how to do it:

1. Install DebugView

Go to [http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/utilities/debugview.mspx] and download DebugView.

2. Start DebugView

3. Start InqScribe

4. Watch DebugView window as you start InqScribe to see if InqScribe spits out any messages.
